ATX Transmission Fluid!

When refilling the power steering fluid in your Mazda 6, it is important that you use ATX transmission fluid as stated in the manual, and NOT power steering fluid. It should also be noted that for Mazda 6's with an auto tranny, there is an "MV" on the trans dipstick, that DOES NOT indicate that those cars take Mercon V. That symbol indicates that your car takes Mazda 5 (AKA M5) transmission fluid. M5 is a specific mazda grade fluid that can only be purchased from a dealer or company that has the ability to order Mazda genuine parts.
